CHERRY  LAWN  PLAYSCAPE

A group of young and very determined Darien parents organized a fundraiser to replace the deteriorated playground at Cherry Lawn Park.

For several years the town had been unable, or unwilling, to put this project in the annual budget. The parents formed "Park Pals" and started soliciting local businesses for donations. They also "sold" personalized $100 bricks for paving the walkways that would lead to the playground.

They managed to raise more money than they needed, and used the surplus to expand the playground even further! Here are some photos of the playscape, and a few of the donated bricks that may interest you! Our website address was too long for the allotted space on the bricks, so we registered the shorter address "cherrylawn.org" which also takes you to this website. Hopefully a few folks will see these bricks, and visit our website to learn a little about Cherry Lawn School.
